In the January 2015 issue of Bird Watching magazine, I had a cover feature on Britain's avian spectacles. In the past week, I have enjoyed two such spectacles - in Norwich city centre. These ultra-urban experiences were a wee murmuration of Starlings, probably numbering 3,000 birds, and a roost of around 200-300 Pied Wagtails, the latter in a single tree outside the railway station. Photography of both was challenging, but the outputs are just about worth sharing.
