On 31 October - long gone, I know, but I have had browser issues - we visited the Grey Seal colony at Horsey Gap. As luck would have it, this was the final day/hour/minute of unfettered public access before the beach was closed for the seal breeding season. The barriers ere manhandled into place just seconds after we left the Norfolk shoreline. With beautiful light and compliant marine mammals lounging by the breakers, an enjoyable hour was spent prostrate on the chilling sands, lens propped on camera bag.
